Former South African opening batsman Hashim Amla holds the record for scoring the fastest 4000 runs in ODI cricket and tops the list. He has scored 4000 ODI runs in just 84 matches & 81 innings. He was one of the most elegant openers of that time.

Hashim Amla is followed by current Pakistani batsman and captain Babar Azam. He completed his 3000 ODI runs in just 84 matches & 82 innings. Babar Azam is one of the best white ball players in Pakistan.
