Rohit Sharma is a versatile right handed opener, capable of batting down the order too. It was in ICC Champions Trophy 2013 when Rohit was promoted to the opening position. He’s known for the explosive start that he provides in the powerplay.

His affair of double centuries began here itself when he scored one against Gujarat. With no surprise then, Mumbai won that edition.
Rohit Sharma also featured in the ICC U-19 World Cup 2006. India ended the campaign as runners-up with Cheteshwar Pujara being awarded Player Of The Tournament with 349 runs. Rohit Sharma managed to score 206 runs in 6 matches.
Rohit received his call-up to the ICC T20 World Cup 2007, the inaugural edition. Rohit’s debut match was played against England. Well, Rohit neither batted nor did he bowl.
