Team History
- RCB was formed in 2008 and is one of the original eight teams that participated in the inaugural season of the IPL.
- The team is based in Bangalore, the capital city of the Indian state of Karnataka.
- RCB had many captains, Daniel Vettori, Anil Kumble, Virat Kohli, Faf Du Plessis but is yet to win a title. However, it is one of the most popular and loved team in India.

RCB is owned by United Spirits Limited. a company by Diageo Group, a global leader in th0e alcohol industry. USL also imports, manufactures, and sells iconic brands such as Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, VAT 69 etc. The chairman of the company is Prathmesh Mishra.
Team Colors and Logo
- The official team colors of RCB are red and black.
- The team’s logo features a vertically oriented black banner with a light gold Lion rampant set on top of it wearing a crown on its held.
Home Ground
RCB’s home ground is the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, popularly known as bowlers hell, located in Bangalore. The stadium has a seating capacity of approximately 40,000 spectators and is known for its energetic atmosphere during RCB matches.
Team Captain and Coach
RCB had plenty captains with Virat Kohli being the most consistent one. Currently the captain of RCB is South African legend Faf Du Plessis. He was bought by the RCB in the 2022 IPL mega auction for 7cr and was named the captain of the side. The head coach of RCB is Sanjay Bangar.

However, it struggles in the bowling department each year and because of which they are yet to win a trophy. RCB has the 3rd highest and best fan following in the IPL.
