Early Life an Education
Gill was born in a Sikh family. His father was a farmer who wanted to become a cricketer in his childhood but was unsuccessful. He wanted to fulfill his dream of becoming a cricketer. Gill started playing cricket at an early age of 3 years. His father challenged all his friends and people nearby to bowl Shubman and get him out. If they did so then he would have rewarded him with 100rs. Shubman wanted to become a farmer like his father but his father saw his cricket skills and encouraged him to become a cricketer. He also told that Shubman loves his village and farms very much. Shubman completed his education at Manav Mangal Smart School in Mohali, Punjab.
