Team History
- RR was formed in 2008 and is one of the original eight teams that participated in the inaugural season of the IPL.
- The team is based in Jaipur, the capital city of the Indian state of Rajasthan
- RR had many legendary players like Shane Warne, Shane Watson, Sohail Tanvir, etc. RR won the inaugural IPL in 2008.
Team Owners
As of IPL 2023, Manoj Badale is the Rajasthan Royals RR owner who leads most stakes of this team around 70%. The other investors in this famous franchise are Suresh Chellaram and Lachlan Murdoch. However, in 2010, the team was banned for two years by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) due to a betting scandal involving one of its co-owners. In 2015, the team was bought by Manoj Badale, a British businessman, who became the new owner of the franchise.

Home Ground
RR’s home ground is the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, which is one of the biggest stadiums in India, located in Jaipur. The stadium has a seating capacity of approximately over 30000 spectators and is known as the fort of the Rajasthan Royals.
